Mr. Hossain Khaled

Chairman

Mr. Hossain Khaled is a versatile new age business personality. He obtained his BBA in Accounting from University of Toledo, Ohio, USA and MBA degree in International Banking from A & M University (TAMU), Texas, USA. Mr. Khaled joined the family conglomerate of Anwar Group of Industries during the year 2000. Since then, he has successfully held and led many portfolios, and achieved many successes among which few noteworthy ones are being the youngest President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Co-Chairman of Bangladesh Better Business Forum. He was the President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry for two times. Mr. Khaled also holds Director position in a number of companies of Anwar Group. He is one of the members of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of City Bank and Convener of City Bank Risk Management Committee. He is the Chairman of City Brokerage Ltd. And President of Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) Bangladesh.

Mr. Aziz Al Kaiser

Mr. Aziz Al Kaiser, Chairman of City Bank, is a prominent entrepreneur of the country. A graduate from U.S. International University, Watford, London, UK, Mr. Kaiser is involved in a diverse range of businesses including shipping, food, telecom, ICT, banking, leasing, real estate, etc. He also holds Managing Director and Director position in a number of Partex Star Group Companies. A member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of City Bank, Mr. Kaiser is the Chairman of City Bank's subsidiary in Malaysia - CBL Money Transfer Sdn. Bhd. Mr. Kaiser has keen interest in cricket. He was one of the Directors and Chairman of Marketing & Commercial Committee of Bangladesh Cricket Board.

A prominent entrepreneur, Mr. Hossain Mehmood is the Representative Director of A-One Polymer Ltd. He has successfully set up and executed a good number of industrial undertakings and served as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank. Mr. Mehmood is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Bank and is Sponsor Director of a number of companies of Anwar Group of Industries and Chairman of A One Polymer Ltd., Anwar Ispat Ltd. and AG Automobiles Ltd. He also holds Managing Director position in Hossain Dyeing & Printing Mills Limited, Mehmood Industries (Pvt.) Limited and Anwar Silk Mills Limited., Anwar Galvanizing Ltd., Anwar Pulp Ltd. He is also Chairman of Bangladesh Terry Towel and Linen Manufacturer & Exporters Association, Vice Chairman of BD Securities Ltd and Vice President of Bangladesh Textile Mills Association.

Mr. Rajibul Huq Chowdhury

Mr. Rajibul Huq Chowdhury is a Director of the City Bank Limited since October 18, 2001 and also one of the members of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of the Bank. Mr. Chowdhury is a very prominent business entrepreneur in the country. He is involved in the business sectors of chemicals, garments, knitting, dyeing, printing and machineries. Mr. Chowdhury is a Proprietor, Managing Director and Director of various concerns of Aziz Group. He is one of the Directors of ASM Chemical Industries Limited, a famous basic chemical production unit in the country. He patronizes many educational institutions and is involved with various social forums.

Mrs. Aziz, Director of the Bank, joined the Board on April 30, 2012. At present, she is also serving as Director in various companies like Partex Corp. Ltd., Sattar Glass Factory Limited etc. Mrs. Aziz completed her graduation in Business Administration.

Director

Mrs. Savera H. Mahmood joined the Bank's Board on July 21, 2016. She is also the Director of Partex Star Group and the Managing Director of Partex Agro Ltd. She holds a Master's Degree in Social Studies from University of Chittagong.

Mr. Nazimuddin Chowdhury is a former Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh. He holds an MA in History from the University of Dhaka (1984) and an MA in Government Financial Management from the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland, UK (1998). Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Chowdhury held significant roles including Finance Controller of the Defense Finance Department, Director (Finance) at Bangladesh Railway, and various Deputy and Joint Secretary positions across ministries such as Finance, Women and Children Affairs, and Home Affairs. He served as Additional Secretary and Acting Secretary, eventually becoming Secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division from December 2015 to November 2017. During his tenure as Secretary, he concurrently served as Chairman on the boards of several key energy companies, including Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd., Gas Transmission Company Ltd., Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration Company Ltd., Bangladesh Gas Fields Company Ltd., Karnaphuli Gas Company Ltd., Sundarban Gas Company Ltd., and Padma Oil Company Ltd.. He was also a Director at Eastern Refinery Ltd. and Bangladesh Infrastructure Finance Ltd.. Post-retirement, Mr. Chowdhury has been engaged in family businesses involving cattle, fisheries, and agriculture farming. He has also served as an Independent Director for Reckitt Benckiser (Bangladesh) PLC. and Midland Bank PLC.. His extensive training includes departmental programs in audit, accounts, budgeting, and management accounting, along with foreign training in audit of transport services (Delhi, India), business communication (UK), and detection of fraud (JICA, Japan).

Started career in 1995 with ANZ Grindlays Bank, Bangladesh as a Management Trainee. Last position held was Head of Consumer Finance, Bangladesh. Worked for Standard Chartered Bank, Qatar as Head of Credit & Collections, Consumer Banking. Also worked for ANZ Banking Group in Melbourne, Australia. Later held the position of Director & Head of Retail Banking for American Express Bank, Bangladesh. Worked for Citibank N. A. for a brief period as its Head of Retail/Priority Banking, Bangladesh. Last position held was Head of Consumer Banking at Eastern Bank Limited before joining City Bank.
